Camino Primitivo

The Camino Primitivo, also known as the Original Way of St. James, is the oldest pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela. It's called this because it was the first route used by pilgrims, started by King Alfonso II of Asturias in the 9th century after the tomb of the Apostle St. James was discovered in Compostela.
